In electroencephalography (EEG), the absence of detectable electrical
activity in the cortex of the brain. The EEG tracing shows no
deflections from it's baseline. This finding is diagnostic of
brain death.

Bloom's syndrome:
[David Bloom, A. physician, b. 1892] An autosomal
recessive disease, found predominantly but not exclusively in persons of
Jewish ancestry, marked by chromosomal abnormalities, facial rashes,
dwarfism, and a propensity to develop leukemia.
